About the Robin
The UK’s favourite bird! Robins sing nearly all year round and despite their cute appearance, they are aggressively territorial and are quick to drive away intruders. They are very loyal to their food sources, so the robin you see in your garden is most likely the same one each time.
Identifying features:
Robins are known for their instantly recognisable red breast, even though every robin has a unique pattern.
Measurements:
Length 14cm
Wingspan 20-22cm

What they eat:
They favour earthworms and mealworms, but enjoy all seeds, nuts and grains. They rarely come to mesh feeders.
Robins are spotted everywhere throughout the UK, favoring woodland, parks and gardens.
Robins have a beautiful warbling song, which can often be mistaken for nightingales. They change their song from autumn onwards to protect their territories.
